Our Washington Youth Tour is headed out for an amazing trip! In 2024, our cooperative students will tour the Washington Monument, the US Capitol building, the Lincoln Memorial, and the National Cathedral. Students will also have an opportunity to visit the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, Holocaust Museum, the Smithsonian, and visit with our state representatives.
Our rural students have a passion for learning! Our 2024 scholarship recipients include students from all over our service areas in southeastern Arizona. Students who are going to trade schools and traditional colleges came together to celebrate and receive their award. Congratulations 2024 Scholarship winners!
Nine area high school students earned all-expense-paid trips to the nation’s capital last week at the 42nd annual Sulphur Springs Valley Electric Cooperative (SSVEC) Foundation Washington Youth Tour competition. Scholarships totaling $12,000 are being awarded to the 15 area high school juniors who have been named to the 40th annual Sulphur Springs Valley Electric Cooperative (SSVEC) Foundation Washington Youth Tour.
